Mike: Supporting young refugees seeking asylum

Mike has been supporting young refugees seeking asylum in Newport for the last 5 years.

“It would be understandable to be wary of it, but my experience has been very very positive”.

“Most young refugees that I’ve seen come from a stable, loving family and then they’ve had their world torn apart as a teenagers”.

“It broadened my understanding of different cultures and made me realise how similar everybody is. We all want the same things and I think it’s great. And I know I’m making a difference. I know it.”

Are you ready to open your home and heart to vulnerable young refugees and guide them into a better and brighter future? We want to hear from you!

If you live in Newport, send us a message, and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Alternatively, you can call us on 01633 210272 for a friendly non-obligatory chat.
